Please join us for our 24th Annual Founders' Day Dinner including, as always, a live musical performance followed by dinner. Before the festivities, we will hold a brief meeting to conduct the Society's business and hear remarks by Dr. David Cline, one of our founders.

The entire event will be in the Lounge at the Woman’s Club, a beautiful space for a celebratory event.

Program

We are thrilled to present Debra Gilroy, soprano, and Barbara Brooks, her collaborative pianist. Debra Gilroy will perform two musical selections from Wagner’s Tannhäuser. Debra will also perform songs composed by Schumann, Mahler, Wolf, Weill, and Dring. In addition, Barbara Brooks will perform a piano solo by Schumann and one by Brahms.

Dinner

Dinner consisting of an entree and dessert will be prepared and served by the Woman’s Club.

Plated Dinner: Bread and butter, to accompany your choice of entree:

• Seared hanger steak, roasted potato, charred broccolini, toasted almonds, and mustard cream sauce
• Seared seabass, served with roasted potato, charred broccolini, toast capers, and lemon butter sauce
• Vegetarian pasta with assorted grilled seasonal vegetables

Dessert: Creme brulee garnished with mint and berries. Coffee and tea.

Wine and non-alcoholic beverages will be available throughout the evening.

You must register to attend! Walk-ins cannot be accommodated, as we need a headcount for the food preparation.

• $65 Non-members & their guests

Non-members may join RWSUM as members now to take advantage of the member rate at this and other RWSUM events through December 2024. Please review our membership page for membership categories and rates.

When registering, first enter your own registration information.

Next, add any guests. For each guest:

• Click "Add guest".
• Enter that guest's registration information.
• Click "Done" to register this guest.

When you have added all guests, click "Next" and follow the instructions for payment.

Directions

Click here for directions to the Woman’s Club and parking information. Use the main entrance facing Oak Grove Street. Proceed straight ahead, up the stairs to the Lounge. Or use the handicapped entrance on the left, where you can check your coat and take an elevator to the Lounge level.

To protect yourself and others, we encourage you to be vaccinated. You are welcome to wear masks at any time. Please do not attend if you have any COVID-19 symptoms.

The Lounge at the Woman’s Club has double-height ceilings and excellent air circulation.
