In Concert: An Evening of Wagner and Schumann, With Debra Gilroy & Eric McEnaney

In partnership with the St. Croix Valley Opera, the Richard Wagner Society of the Upper Midwest presents DEBRA GILROY (Soprano) and ERIC MCENANEY (Piano) LIVE from Lake of the Isles Lutheran Church, Minneapolis, MN. We’re pleased to bring you this concert both in-person at Lake of the Isles Lutheran (social distancing and masks required) and online via Zoom, "At Home."

This lovely, lyrical program will feature an all-Wagner first half. The second half will consist of art songs by Brahms, Schumann & Strauss. The expected duration of the concert is approximately 75 minutes, including a 15-minute intermission.
Debra Gilroy is a local soprano who has appeared with most of our local opera companies, the Minnesota Orchestra, the Minnesota Chorale, the Saint Paul Chamber Orchestra, and other performing arts organizations. Her full bio and repertoire can be found on her website.
Pianist Eric McEnaney is a frequently featured keyboard soloist, collaborator, and vocal coach in the Twin Cities. Dr. McEnaney's biography details his extensive experience, which includes assisting many of the most renowned classical vocal artists of our time, including Christine Brewer, Anna Christy, Elizabeth Futral, Denyce Graves, Marilyn Horne, Thomas Hampson, Frank Lopardo, Susanne Mentzer, Susanna Phillips, Patricia Racette, John Relyea, and Carol Vaness.
