Do you know Alban Berg’s unsettling first opera, Wozzeck? Berg and many of his German Expressionist contemporaries were heavily influenced by Wagner’s late 19th century innovations. Fortunately for all of us, the Met's Live in HD series features a new, harrowing production of Wozzeck this Saturday, January 11, at 11:55 AM. If you're interested, please join us at the Showplace Icon for the brief 3-act opera (performed with no intermission, and with a runtime of 100 minutes). We'll be hosting an informal Wagner Society Social Hour after the performance, in the Showplace Icon Lounge. There is no cost for admission, but any food and beverage costs are on your own.

There is no structure to this event; think of it as an informal happy hour, a chance to chat with other Wagner enthusiasts (RWSUM members and friends) about the production, connections to Wagner, etc.

We ask that you register using the Register button on this page, just so that we can reserve the appropriately-sized space in the lounge.
